NEW! Beauty Products!

NEW! Beauty Products!

I must admit that I love makeup and usually spend any extra money I have at Sephora.

Lately I feel like new products have been coming out like crazy. I wanted to take a moment to let you know what products that I am most looking forward to purchasing.

The first product is a new brow gel of sort, it is a brow silk. I am was intrigued by this product because innovation in the brow makeup department has been sparse. I was pleased to find something new and interesting

This product clams to frame your features with a super speedy Brow Silk. Inspired by the old Hollywood trick of using soap to set brows in place, our customisable brow styler adapts to the look you love – from fluffy and feathered to groomed and sleek.

What I like:

  • The glam vintage feel this product provides.
  • The new idea of using a silk besides a gel.
  • It is cruelty free.

What I don’t like:

  • The price for 28$ it is VERY pricey for a brow product

Will I be purchasing:

Yes definitely! I will let you all know if it works as well as I hope.

The next product is not a completely new one but more of a new formula. The benefit hello happy line came out with a new brighting foundation.

This foundation claims to have a medium coverage and feel lightweight, look natural and is be virtually undetectable on skin. It also brightens.

What I like:

  • The formula is similar to the last hello happy foundation, which I loved.
  • This foundation has more coverage than the last one.
  • I like to packaging much better than the last one.

What I don’t like:

  • The shade range is small with only 12 shades it may be hard to find a perfect match.

Would I buy it:

No because I already have foundations that I like and this seems very similar to the last one.

Hopefully you enjoyed nthis mini post,

Au Revoir,

Grace

Crazy for the ’80’s

Crazy for the ’80’s

Bonjour!

I must say that I adored some trends from the ’80s. People during this time period were able to have fun with clothes and experiment with so many different colors and patterns!

Today inspired by the tends of the ’80s I put one a neon pink denim jacked from bp.

I also gave myself some crazy adorable curls! To achieve this look at home it takes little effort and is heat tools free. All I did was wet my hair and french braided it.

Then I sprayed the littlest amount of sea salt spray. This one from not your mother is wonderful because it has a lovely scent and gives your soft ways without the frizz.

Volià! Perfect beach curls in the morning!

À La Mode Shirts

À La Mode Shirts

Bonjour!

A staple in my closet is pattern t-shirts. I love how they can be used in so many different ways. For example, you could pair a t-shirt with an oversized denim jacket and leggings for a relaxed look. Or if you are feeling fancier, you can pair a t-shirt with a mini skirt and chic necklace. As you can see, the possibilities are truly endless.

I just recently purchased two t-shirts from Brandy Melville. I must say that I am in love with the quality and style of these shirts. The fabric is very thick and stretchy. I was surprised the fabric was so dense because usually t-shirts are made out of a flimsy, thin material.

I like the cut of the shirts besides the fact that they are a little short for my taste. I am on the taller side, and I prefer my shirts to be longer.

My only other complaint is that Brandy Melville’s clothing only comes in one size, which I feel that all women should have the opportunity to enjoy the brand. So having a more diverse sizing range would be ideal.

Anyway, I digress because I genuinely love these shirts and plan on purchasing more. In the photo below, I show a way to style the shirt in a very classy way. The print of the shirt and the pencil style skirt scream vintage glam. To top it off I added a pearl necklace, which is just the icing on the cake.

Summer Time Favorites

Summer Time Favorites

Bonjour!

In only a few days it will officially be Summer. The Starbucks strawberry acai refresher is a perfect drink to enjoy on a hot day. There are so many ways to enjoy the acai refresher. One variation is to ask for it to be made with coconut milk instead of water, which is also known as the pink drink. My favorite combo when I am craving a sweeter drink is to ask a barista to make my drink with lemonade instead of water, which creates an elevated pink lemonade.

Summer also reminds me of the color yellow. I am wearing these yellow lace Toms, which are just darling! These shoes are very comfortable to wear. An added bonus feature for the summer time is that the lace allows your feet to stay ventilated and cool all day.

With my favorite summer drink in hand and adorable shoes on my feet, I feel ready to conquer whatever summer adventures come my way!

A Model’s Day Off

A Model’s Day Off

Bonjour!

Today I am showing you how to get a perfect “model’s day off look”. This style has been becoming increasingly popular this year and I personally love how comfy, and charming it looks.

To get the hairdo, all you will need is a headband, a hairband, a bobby pin, and a hair spray of your choice. I would highly recommend coordinating your headband color to your shoe color because it makes your assemble look more polished. To create this messy pony, all you need to do is throw your hair up into a ponytail and add a headband. I also take a small strand of hair and wrap it around the base of the hairstyle to create a cover for the hairband.

The outfit besides the shoes is from Victoria Secret Pink. I love the sweatshirts there so much because they are so cozy and oversized, which makes them a staple in my closet.

The shoes are Vans I purchased from my local thrift shop! Although, I am sure you can find them online somewhere.

Did someone say Highlighter?

For makeup, I would suggest going light on face products but heavy on the highlight. This should give you a “glow from within look,” which matches the vibe of this outfit.

Au revoir,
Grace

Weekly Beauty Favorites (#1)

Weekly Beauty Favorites (#1)

I must admit that I am a bit of a makeup junkie. So I decided to start a weekly post about my top three favorite makeup/beauty products.

This week I am going to talk about the MAC Classic Cutie Pallet, Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Primer, and MAC’s Prep and Prime Spray in Lavender.

Let’s begin with the Fenty Primer.

I was skeptical at first to try a matte primer because my skin is relatively dry. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this primer worked for me. It goes on the skin smoothly and leaves a beautifully, smooth base- to apply any foundation or creams. The soft matte finish makes your skin soft and smooth.

I would describe it as a skin balancing primer. The best part is the primer’s smells exactly like a Baskin Robin’s Store (An ice cream parlor). Although this primer is not my absolute favorite, (The Tatcha Silk Canvas is my personal favorite), this primer is a super close second and is much more affordable.

I have personally never owned a setting spray before this Mac one. I just thought it was an extra step that only really boujee beauty gurus used. This setting spray has proved me wrong. This spray allows my makeup to last all day and night.

It gives my skin a subtle dewy, glow, which has changed my makeup game. As you may have noticed, scents are kinda important to me and the lavender scent on this spray is wonderful. However, if scents are not your thing or flower scents are too strong for you, they have multiple other smells to choose from.

Lastly, let’s chat about the Classic Cutie palette. The pallette is perfect for anyone who likes a light, girly, sparkly look. It is a mix of pinks, purples, and browns. There is a black shade in the pallette as well, which makes a wonderful liner or a crease darkening shade.

This pallet has three satin shades, five glitters and one highlight powder. The highlight is wonderful and is not a typically chunky, glitter highlight. The powder is so finely milled that it looks like rosy dew on the skin. The satin shades in the palette are great. However, what really is spectacular about this pallet is the glitters.

They are very pigmented and so sparkly that they are hands down the best glitter eyeshadows I own. The colors the glitters come in are also very versatile and wearable. Which is one thing I love about this pallet, that it can be used to make more artistic makeup looks but it is also perfect for everyday wear.

Currently, this palette is on sale for $24, which for MAC is a fabulous deal!
